Admission requirements

  • Have graduated from secondary school (Higher Education Entrance Qualification), passed an apprenticeship examination, or be over 23 years of age*

  • Be at least 18 years of age at commencement of training

  • Have a minimum height of 150 cm and maximum height of 200 cm**

  • Pass our admission test

  • Hold a valid Norwegian or Swedish EASA Class 1 medical certificate before the start of the studies

  • International students must have a valid student visa for Norway or be eligible for obtaining a visa. More information about this can be found at www.udi.no.

*An applicant who has not graduated from secondary school/achieved a higher education entrance qualification must be 23 years of age or older in the year of admission to be considered based on prior learning and work experience.

**If you are between 150-160 cm or 190-200 cm, you must visit Pilot Flight Academy to do a sit-in test in our aircraft.

The course

The integrated airline transport pilot programme at Pilot Flight Academy takes just two years to complete and as a newly-qualified pilot, you will have all the certificates and ratings you need to start a career with an airline.

The programme requires motivation and dedication, and you are challenged on both your efforts and attitudes from the first day of school to prepare you for a future career as a pilot.

On the very first day of the education programme, you will receive a uniform and an iPad which contains the complete syllabus. The programme starts off with approximately eight months of theoretical training. Thereafter, you will have about 230 flight and simulator hours before you must pass a skill test conducted by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

Once passed, you will receive the following European pilot certifications: EASA frozen ATPL(A) with CPL(A), IR/ME, MEP, APS MCC, LPA, PBN and Advanced UPRT.

Costs and financing

To secure your enrolment a fee is to be paid after passing the admission test. NOK 30 000,-. The Enrolment Fee is non-refundable.
The total tuition fee for the fully integrated course is NOK 1 070 000,-.

Interested in an introduction flight?

An introduction flight is an opportunity for those considering becoming a pilot and are over 16 years old. A test flight costs 1,500 NOK, and you'll be piloting the aircraft yourself, safely assisted by one of our flight instructors.
